Auctioneer’s note: Gil Marshall started his shop in 1962
with BSA and took on Yamaha in 1965. He had the Yamaha franchise
until around 1990 and then sold and serviced used motorcycles.
Gil and his son Glen were active in AAMRR road racing at Loudon
for years. With both Gil’s and Glen’s health failing, Gil closed
the shop last year and has contracted us to sell everything to
the highest bidder.
The BSA stuff
is long gone, but we found a good inventory of NOS Yamaha parts
that will be sold as one lot with the inventory system. There is
a significant amount of hard to find parts for collectable
Yamahas. We have many of the new items that you would expect to
find in a retail shop listed in our advertising as well as the
workshop and an antique engine collection. The motorcycles and
major shop items will be sold by the piece and the new clothing,
parts and accessories in reasonable trade lots. The motorcycles
and engine collection will be sold around noontime.
The auction
will be short and sweet. We should be done selling in the early
afternoon, so bring your truck and trailer and be prepared to
lug your goodies off right after the auction. Extra time can be
arranged with Gil if you need it. We will open up at 8AM for
registration and inspection. Be sure to arrive early to mark
your catalog, as it will be almost impossible to see much during
the auction.

A good inventory of NOS Yamaha Parts from the 60’s to
80’s will be sold with the inventory system, microfiche and cards as one
lot; Parts and Accessories: about 100 brand new Shoei, HJC, J Max,
Street and MX Helmets in the boxes, lots of Spark Plugs, 70 Batteries,
oil and chemicals, 35-40 Tires, Shop Manuals new and used, Touring and
Leather Jackets, Chain, Mikuni Parts, MX Boots and Equipment, Tank Bags,
Saddlebags, Snowmobile Parts and clothing, gloves, large hardware
selection, bulbs, grips, and hundreds of other items that you would
expect to find in a motorcycle shop. Shop Equipment: Hoffman 1520 Tire
Machine - like new, Sheldon Lathe with good amount of Tooling, Enco
Milling Machine with Tooling, Rotary Table, Granite Surface Plate, Band
Saw, Drill Press, work benches and vises, Bead Blast Cabinet, 20ton
press, Welder, White Mobilift 35 Forklift, Yamaha Factory Tools, Yamaha
crank rebuild jig, and more. Hit and Miss Engine collection: Sears 5HP,

will be a 12% buyer's premium. A discount of 2% will be given to buyers
paying with cash, guaranteed check or personal Visa, MasterCard or
Discover.
Payment and removal will be on the day of the auction. Extra removal
time may be arranged.
